Files generated by Microsoft Outlook have the three letter file extension ".msg" MailRaider will automatically try to open an Outlook file when that file is double-clicked in the Finder. You can also open files by selecting Open from the File Menu. If MailRaider cannot open the file then it will display an error.
There are two reasons that MailRaider fails to open Outlook files:
The Outlook file contains content that MailRaider can't interpret. Currently, MailRaider can open Outlook files that contail email (IPM.Note files) and it has preliminary support for Outlook files that contain calendar entries (IPM.Appointment files).
The ".msg" file is not actually an Outlook file. It may be that another program also uses the three letter file extension ".msg". In this case, unless the file contains Outlook compatible data, MailRaider will fail to open the file and display an error. If you are certain that the ".msg" file was created by Microsoft Outlook please contact support45rpm@mac.com, with an example of the .msg file, for further assistance.
